The Los Angeles Chargers selected Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert with the sixth-overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, a move that perfectly aligned with his hopes and dreams.

Justin Herbert said he wanted to play pro football in Los Angeles

As an 11-year-old elementary school student, Herbert was already well on his way to dreaming of a career playing pro football in the City of Angels.

The Chargers shared an incredible time capsule sheet Herbert filled out on April 11, 2009 that shows he wanted to be “a professional football player” and that he was going to live in Los Angeles.

Talk about walking right into your dreams. Now all that’s left is for Herbert to find his true love, have three kids and get a dog.

Herbert will likely not start games for the Chargers in 2020, but after being the No. 6 overall pick of the draft it’s clear the franchise hopes he’s the quarterback of the future.
