On Tuesday afternoon, Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto padded his resume in what’s already been a remarkably impressive rookie season.

Soto reached base five times in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves. No player as young as Soto has done that in more than 40 years. The last to do so was Hall of Famer Robin Yount.

This is not the first — or even second — time that Soto has rubbed shoulders with a Hall of Famer in 2018. He’s also done things this year to draw comparisons to both Ken Griffey Jr. and Mickey Mantle.

So, it’s safe to say that this kid knows how to make a big impression.
