Jose Ramirez carted off after fouling pitch off left leg

During Sunday’s game between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians, Jose Ramirez fouled a pitch off his left leg. The ball hit him squarely on the inside of the top of his left calf, and he went down in a heap.

Though, Ramirez was able to get back up onto his feet and received help from manager Terry Francona to get onto a cart.

The 26-year-old second baseman has been phenomenal over the course of the last three seasons for Cleveland. Last year he really came into his own, blasting 39 home runs, driving in 105 batters and stealing 34 bases.

Since first entering the big leagues back in 2013, Ramirez has batted .285 with 87 homers and 308 RBI.
