The Oakland Raiders are officially one of the worst teams in the NFL three games into Jon Gruden’s second tenure as the head coach.
The team’s defense is a shambles, Derek Carr continues to make rookie mistakes at the worst possible time and the start of the fourth quarter has become a humongous “SCORE HERE” sign for opposing offenses.
It’s been ugly.
We all know it. Gruden knows it, too. And based on what he said about it all on Monday, improvements might be a long time coming.
Gruden: "The results will happen. Might not happen this week. Might not happen this month, next month. But we’re going to get results here and we’re going to get this Oakland Raider football team back on track. We’ve just got to prove it."

Translation: We’re probably not going to get better, any time soon.
That cannot be encouraging for loyal Raiders fans, who’re already dealing with some trust issues after their team ditched Oakland once again in favor for Sin City.
Oh, and then there’s that whole Khalil Mack business, which has riled up the fan base even more.
Yeah, Oakland is a mess right now.
