Attempting to become a better man, former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is looking to turn the corner from what was a drama-filled past year. From his domestic violence case to a suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, the former Heisman winner has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Now almost a calendar year since being released by the Browns, Manziel himself is looking to make a comeback. It’s going to be a long process for him, but it sure looks like the quarterback is attempting to do the right thing.
That was magnified in a recent Twitter post in which Johnny Football actually called himself out.

Manziel’s alcohol problems are by now well documented. Though, he has remained out of the news in that regard for some time now. He also previously vowed to get sober.
Whether this will equate to another team giving him a chance remains to be seen. Manziel still has that four-game suspension hanging over his head. And in reality, his off-field exploits over the past several years likely rubbed teams the wrong way.
At the very least, Manziel is looking at himself in the mirror and attempting to become a better man. That’s definitely a start.
