Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid was hit with a $25,000 fine for flipping the bird at an opponent and using profane language during an on-court interview, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Wednesday.

During the late stages of the game between the Sixers and Atlanta Hawks, Embiid was caught napping as Kevin Huerter picked his pocket on a steal. Then, Embiid flipped him the bird.

Embiid did apologize afterward for his gesture.

“I want to say sorry for what I did at the end of the game. You probably saw that on TV,” Embiid said after the game, per KansasCity.com. “I’m sorry. Thank you.”

As for the “profane language,” Embiid accidentally dropped an F-bomb on live television.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Embiid has reacted in a manner the NBA disapproves of. And it likely won’t be the last.
