Joe Flacco took a huge hit on Thursday night. It was a late hit that many thought should have resulted in the ejection of Kiko Alonso. And it was a hit that left the Baltimore Ravens quarterback with a concussion.
Thankfully on Friday morning, it’s being reported that Flacco is feeling better. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports Flacco said that his ears took the brunt of the blow along with his head.

The Ravens have struggled offensively this year, even with Joe Flacco in the lineup. His backup, Ryan Mallett, inspires no confidence whatsoever. So far this season in limited action, Mallet has completed just 56.3 percent of his passes, though he has thrown two touchdowns and no interceptions. Interceptions have been a big part of Mallet’s game for his entire career, as he’s thrown more of them then he has thrown touchdowns.
Needless to say, getting Flacco back in action as soon as possible has to be something that weighs heavily on head coach John Harbaugh’s mind. The Ravens, now at 4-4 on the season, are very much in the hunt for the playoffs. But they won’t go anywhere unless Flacco is back in action.
