After months of speculation around whether Joe Burrow would play for the Cincinnati Bengals, the expected No. 1 overall pick confirmed on Tuesday that he’ll play for any team that drafts him.

While the Bengals are expected to take Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, some wondered if he might pull an Eli Manning and force a trade. But Burrow put that to rest in front of reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine.

While playing for the Bengals might not be the ideal situation, it would allow him to play close to home and to be a top pick. Cincinnati’s head coach Zac Taylor has drawn rave reviews for his work with quarterbacks and could get even more out of Burrow.

Burrow’s announcement is excellent news for the Bengals and especially good to hear for the fan who already has a signed Bengals’ Burrow jersey. While fans won’t get to see him throw at the NFL Combine, Burrow already made a strong impression with an epic troll tweet and he’ll impress teams in interviews.
