New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will be inactive for a third straight game in Week 14, but head coach Robert Saleh said Monday the plan is for Wilson to play again this season.

Mike White is QB1 and will be backed up by Joe Flacco this week against the Buffalo Bills.

White is 1-1 since taking over the starting role from Wilson. The Jets defeated the Chicago Bears in Week 12 but lost at Minnesota on Sunday. White has thrown for 684 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Wilson, 23, has completed 55.6 percent of his passes this year — matching last season’s rate — and has 1,279 passing yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions. His career touchdown-to-interception ratio through 20 career games is 13-to-16.

The Jets (7-5) visit Buffalo with a win against the Bills once this season, but they trail the Bills by two games in the AFC East. The Bills have won three straight to improve to 9-3 claim the top spot in the division.

Saleh said this week gives White an opportunity to “make some noise.”

Wilson led the Jets to a 20-17 win over Buffalo in Week 9, completing 18 of 25 passes for 154 and a touchdown without an interception.
