New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold admitted to seeing ghosts during his horrible four interception performance in a 33-0 loss to the New England Patriots Monday night.
Darnold and his Jets were absolutely terrible throughout the game, which led to that moment on ESPN’s mic’d in which Darnold made the admission.
One day after the fact, Jets head coach Adam Gase is not happy with ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast for putting his quarterback in that situation.
That’s a pretty ridiculous take from Gase. His quarterback is a grown man playing on national television. The mic’d up aspect of ESPN’s broadcast is nothing new.
Maybe Gase should worry more about his quarterback admitting to seeing ghosts on the field. Just some food for thought.
Darnold completed 11-of-32 passes for 86 yards with five total turnovers and 73 net passing yards. That should be of larger concern for the one-win Jets and their embattled head coach.
