Jerry Jones ‘so proud’ of Dak Prescott for anthem stance

Grandson of Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys , John Stephen Jones, lands two offers

Jerry Jones couldn’t be more proud of his quarterback right now.

Recently, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott made national headlines when he said he doesn’t believe NFL players should protest during the national anthem.

“I never protest during the anthem and I don’t think that’s the time or the venue to do so,” Prescott said.

The quarterback has faced plenty of backlash and support from people on both sides of this issue since making his stance clear.

Not surprisingly, one person who is absolutely in his corner is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who recently made news himself for making it clear that his players will stand for the anthem or else.

I’m so proud of him, just proud of him the way he leads the team … for not letting it mess with their practices,” Jones said in an interview with TMZ Sports.

It’s interesting that Jones would say anything at all right now about this issue, since he’s been ordered by the league to cease answering questions about it as the NFL and NFLPA attempt to hammer out an understanding that will actually benefit the league.

That said, Jerry Jones has forever been beholden only to Jerry Jones, for better or worse.
