Jerry Jones has recently been very outspoken about the NFL having nothing on Ezekiel Elliott in terms of domestic violence allegations. Now he says he expects the league to hand down its verdict ‘imminently.’
Speaking with SiriusXM NFL Radio Thursday evening, the Dallas Cowboys owner continued to defend his player while putting pressure on the league to make a decision.

Both Jones and Jason Garrett, not to mention his teammates, have stood staunchly behind Elliott recently. Garrett has, multiple times, said the team believes in Elliott as a person and a player.
Of course, none of this means the NFL won’t still discipline Elliott. He’s not exactly maintained a low profile as the league has conducted its investigation, and some of the things he’s done could potentially subject him to discipline under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.
It’s hardly surprising that Jones is putting the screws to the NFL right now. He wants this all to go away, and soon.
The Cowboys have far too often had their players in the news for all the wrong reasons, and more recently they axed a guy who was actually wrongfully accused. It’s not been the ideal start to training camp. On top of it all, there have been other reports that indicate other NFL owners are eager to see the Cowboys finally face some consequences.
