Jerry Jones Accused of Sexual Assault

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is being sued by a woman claiming that he sexually assaulted her. The news is being reported by multiple media outlets, including Sports Illustrated.

SI had this to say about the report.

Jana Weckerly, a former exotic dancer, filed a suit in Dallas County District Court on Monday alleging Jones assaulted her in 2009.

The claim is rather graphic in nature, so we will just post a link below in case you wanted to read it.

Among other things, the suit claims intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Defendant JERRY JONES’S sexual assault of Plaintiff constitutes extreme and outrageous conduct. For the COWBOYS to facilitate its president in his sexual predations constitutes extreme and outrageous conduct. Defendants JERRY JONES and COWBOYS intentionally caused severe emotional distress to Plaintiff, and Plaintiff suffered severe injuries as a direct and proximate result.

It’s important to remember that this is a civil suit, not a criminal case and it stems from an incident five years ago. Let’s not jump to conclusions before more information is released. It also remains to be seen whether criminal charges can or will be filed in this case. That’s another important distinction to make.

Either way, this is some rather disturbing news coming out of Dallas Tuesday night.
