JD Gaming stay hot in Swiss Stage of World Championship

JD Gaming made short work of Bilibili Gaming in Round 2 of the Swiss Stage at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship on Friday.

JD Gaming recorded a 25-minute win on blue to advance to a Round 3 High Match versus LNG Gaming on Saturday. LNG set up that match with a 32-minute victory on red over Cloud9.

G2 Esports and Gen.G will battle in Saturday’s other Round 3 High Match. G2 posted a 38-win on blue over Weibo Gaming on Friday, while Gen.G notched a 30-minute victory on blue over T1.

In Round 2 Low Match action, NRG, MAD Lions, Fnatic and KT Rolster won their respective contests on Friday. NRG and MAD Lions each notched a 32-minute win on blue over Team Liquid and Team BDS, respectively. Fnatic had a 24-minute win on blue over GAM Esports and KT Rolster dismissed Dplus with a 32-minute win on red.

Saturday’s Round 3 Mid Matches are as follows: T1 vs. Cloud9; NRG vs. MAD Lions, Bilibili Gaming vs. Fnatic and KT Rolster vs. Weibo Gaming.

The Round 3 Low Matches will feature Dplus vs. BDS and Liquid against GAM.

After the Swiss Stage, the $2.225 million world championship advances to the knockout stage. All rounds are being contested in venues in South Korea. The knockout round will culminate with the Nov. 19 grand final at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
