Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder is out of the league’s health and safety protocol and is available to coach his team’s next game Monday against the New York Knicks.

Snyder missed a week before returning to practice Sunday. The Jazz went 2-1 in his absence, with assistant coach Alex Jensen stepping forward in his place.

Utah lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves last Sunday before notching back-to-back victories against the Denver Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets.

“Our whole staff, Alex in particular, just did a terrific job,” Snyder said. “Sometimes there’s silver linings and it was a good opportunity for our staff to have the realization of how prepared they are. I probably knew that better than they did.”

Danuel House also was cleared from health and safety protocol and participated in Sunday’s practice. The 28-year-old Texas A&M product is averaging 8.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in seven games (one start) with Utah this season.
