Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder was placed in the NBA’s health and safety protocol before Sunday night’s game at the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Assistant coach Alex Jensen will serve as Utah’s acting head while Snyder is out.

Snyder, 55, who is in his eighth season with the Jazz, becomes the 18th coach to enter the league’s COVID protocol this season.

Jazz forward/guard Danuel House also was placed in the protocol on Sunday. He is averaging 5.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game this season in 24 combined appearances for the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks and Jazz.
