Despite finishing the regular season with a pedestrian .500 record, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics are now headed to the NBA Playoffs.
Boston absolutely laid the hammer down on a red-hot Washington Wizards team at home Tuesday night in one of the four NBA play-in games.
Without star wing Jaylen Brown, these Celtics took out Washington by the score of 118-100. Jayson Tatum dropped a cool 50 points on 14-of-32 shooting to pace Boston. One of the best forwards in the game, Tatum knew that he had to step up from an aggression standpoint. He did that by hoisting up 32 shots, including 12 three-pointers.
Boston now moves on to take on the Big 3 of the Brooklyn Nets in that of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving. If Tatum continues to play like this, an upset could be in the cards. Meanwhile, those watching the game from home had their say in what the star forward did in Boston Tuesday evening.
