Music mogul Jay-Z continues to face a major backlash for his recent partnership with the NFL focusing on social justice reform.

We have already seen some around the league call Jay-Z out in a big way for not including free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the partnership.

Getting into bed with a league that some believe has blackballed Mr. Kaepernick has not exactly painted the billionaire in the best of lights.

We can now include Jay-Z’s former business partner turned nemesis, Damon Dash, as the latest to blast him.

“If you ask anyone in the industry, it’s a common knowledge that Jay ain’t s**t,” Dash said, via TMZ Sports. “He’s about the bag. We all know that. He’s self-preserving. Period.”

Dash going after Jay-Z is not necessarily breaking news. The two had a falling out after the label they co-founded, Roc-A-Fella Records, collapsed. Dash has been an outspoken critic of his former colleague since.

Even then, this adds yet another layer to the drama. Those within the movement to reform social justice have not taken kindly to Jay-Z and his partnership with the NFL.

It’s a commodity that’s been closely linked to President Donald Trump primarily because of his relationship with some of the sport’s biggest owners.

Needless to say, those on the other end of the “debate” are not necessarily allies with the current occupant of the White House.
