Jason Collins, Not Michael Sam, To Be First Openly Gay Player On Roster Of Major Sports Team

Way to steal his thunder, Mr. Collins. The former Stanford big man, who hasn’t been on a NBA roster since coming out roughly 10 months ago, was signed by the Nets to a 10-day contract and will be in uniform tonight. No, Collins wasn’t blacklisted because he’s homosexual. He’s just a mediocre basketball player. Good for him, though.
