As NFL fans and team owners wait to see if players vote to approve the proposed collective-bargaining agreement, Cleveland Browns receiver Jarvis Landry trolled everyone on Friday and might have just hinted at the direction of the vote.

As more players come out opposed to the proposed CBA from owners and with a vote on the way, Landry teased football fans by hinting that they should start thinking about an XFL tv package.

Opposition from players towards the CBA proposal is out there. Houston Texans star JJ Watt expressed his disdain for the league’s offer and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman shared similar feelings. It’s worth noting that the NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith warned players that they might need a two-year strike to get everything they want in a new CBA.

Landry might just be trolling fans, but his tweet comes at a time with increasing doubt regarding the players’ vote on the new CBA. the players don’t approve it, there’s a chance negotiations aren’t held until after the 2020 season, which would give both sides just months to negotiate until the current deal expires in March 2021.

Football fans might need to start hoping that the XFL catches on and has some staying power, because the possibility of a lockout seem to be increasing.
