The New York Jets signed wide receiver Jamison Crowder to a hefty free agency deal this past spring, and now he’s on the shelf with a foot injury.

Adam Gase told reporters Monday that Crowder is having tests done to determine the severity of the foot injury.

Crowder inked a three-year, $28.5 million deal and is expected to be a major weapon in Sam Darnold’s arsenal.

Originally a fourth-round pick out of Duke, he put together three straight solid seasons for the Washington Redskins before injuries hampered his ability to produce in 2018. In four seasons with Washington, Crowder caught 221 passes for 2,628 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Needless to say, it would be detrimental to New York’s offense if Crowder’s foot injury turns out to be significant.
