Jamaal Charles Listed as Probable for Monday Night

It looks like the Kansas City Chiefs will get their best offensive weapon back on the field when they host the New England Patriots on Monday. Running back Jamaal Charles, who missed last week’s win over the Miami Dolphins, is listed as probable.

This is rather huge news for a Chiefs team that is looking to even its record at home against Tom Brady and Co.

Knile Davis replaced Charles in Kansas City’s lineup last week and put up 132 yards on 32 rush attempts. If Andy Reid is able to actually utilize these two running backs come Monday night, it’s going to help defeat an overrated Patriots team that simply hasn’t played good football thus far this year.

New England ranks just outside the top-10 in run defense, but it’s important to note that this unit hasn’t necessarily gone up against some top-tier running backs the last two weeks. It faced off against the Minnesota Vikings, who were without Adrian Paterson in Week 2, before taking on the Oakland Raiders last week.

In the one game that New England faced a viable rushing attack, it yielded 191 yards on the ground against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.
