Jalen Ramsey promises Rams no holdout

The Los Angeles Rams’ blockbuster acquisition of Jalen Ramsey last week had a pretty big caveat.

The Pro Bowler is slated to become a free agent following the 2020 season and did not agree to an extension with the Rams following the trade.

Given Ramsey’s actions during the latter part of his Jaguars career, this was a questionable decision for the Rams.

Fear not.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ramsey promised the Rams he would not holdout even if the two sides are unable to come to terms on an extension next offseason.

Ramsey did apparently tell the Rams that all bets were off if they placed the franchise tag on him in March of 2021. He could very well hold out.

The Pro Bowler is active and will make his Rams debut against Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
