The Jacksonville Jaguars are taking hits left and right when it comes to their receivers. Shorts is the team’s top pass-catcher and the latest to add to the list of injured or suspended receivers on the Jaguars’ roster.
Head coach Gus Bradley commented, via the team’s official website, that he wasn’t worried about Shorts being ready for the start of the regular season, however.
For the time being, this leaves rookies Marquise Lee and Allen Robinson in line to receive the first-team snaps in the next few weeks. The team is reporting that veteran Chad Henne will start Week 1.
The Jaguars typically enter the regular season as underdogs. Now they really have some obstacles to overcome.
