Jaguars to play back-to-back games in London next season

Are we getting closer to the NFL expanding to London on a full-time basis? It sure is looking like that with the influx of regular-season games in the European capital city.

The Jacksonville Jaguars announcement on Tuesday that they will play back-to-back games in London next season adds a whole new layer to this. Owner Shad Khan made the announcement in a video that has since been posted on social media.

The Jaguars have played a single game in London every season since opening up their slate against the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2013. Though, this changes the dynamic in a big way. It will be the first time an NFL team has played multiple games in London in the same season.

When pressed about relocation from Jacksonville, Khan made sure to note that similar rumors had persisted big time in the lead up to him purchasing the squad eight years ago. He’s still committed to Duval.

Whether that remains the case moving forward remains to be seen.
