Feisty Jabrill Peppers seems to take swipe at Browns over playing time last year

Can Jabrill peppers go from athlete to football player?

Former first-round pick Jabrill Peppers never really lived up to that billing during his two-year tenure with the Cleveland Browns. Ultimately, he was traded away to the New York Giants as part of the deal that sent Odell Beckham Jr. to Cleveland.

During his 2018 season, Peppers wasn’t on the field as much as he would have liked (64 percent of Cleveland’s defensive snaps).

He mentioned his playing time on Twitter Wednesday. He seemed to take a swipe at his old team and hinting he expects things to be different in 2019 with the Giants.

Peppers is slated to be the starting free safety in New York this year. The Giants needed help in their defensive secondary after losing safety Landon Collins in free agency.

Peppers should get much more playing time this year than he ever did in Cleveland. Whether that’s a good thing in the long run for the Giants remains to be seen.
