Jabari Parker now officially a member of the Chicago Bulls

That didn’t take too long. Rumors on Friday regarding a potential reunion between Jabari Parker and the Chicago Bulls gave in to some more concrete reports Saturday morning that indicated Chicago was on the verge of signing the restricted free agent to an offer sheet.

Now, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the 23-year-old Parker is officially on his way to the Windy City. Chicago signed the former No. 2 overall pick to a two-year, $40 million contract.

It came mere minutes after the Milwaukee Bucks rescinded their qualifying offer to Parker, making him an unrestricted free agent. This means that Parker is officially a member of the Bulls.

A lottery pick of the Bucks back in 2014, Parker has suffered multiple ACL injuries in his first four NBA seasons. He’s coming off a 2017-18 campaign that saw the wing average 12.6 points on 48 percent shooting. Back in 2016-17, the Duke product averaged north of 20 points per outing.

Parker will now join a talented young team that already includes rookie No. 7 overall pick Wendell Carter Jr., second-year stud Lauri Markkanen and the recently re-signed Zach LaVine.
