J.J. Watt on finger injury: ‘Whatever, it’s still inside my body’

Houston Texans defensive end J.J Watt is one tough individual. After suffering a dislocated finger in Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year returned to the game. While it wasn’t enough for the Texans to overcome an abysmal offensive performance, Watt showed his true grit.

Now, with Houston set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals on a short week Thursday, it sure looks like Watt will be good to go. Heck, he’s seemingly not worried about the injury at all.

“Whatever. It’s still inside my body. It’s still attached,” Watt said of the injury.

Well, that’s definitely one way to look at it. The alternative would have been no good.

As it is, Watt and his Texans defense will take on a quarterback in Andy Dalton who threw four interceptions, turned the ball over five times and was sacked another five times in Cincinnati’s shutout loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.

Let’s just hope for Dalton’s sake, all of his body parts are attached when Watt is through with him.
