Is this a sign that Earl Thomas is headed to the Cowboys?

Rumors continue to persist that the Dallas Cowboys will land hometown hero and Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas in a trade before the 2018 season.

The Seattle Seahawks have admitted in the past that they’ve had discussions about dealing the game’s best safety. Now that Thomas will likely holdout from training camp in an effort to receive a new contract, these rumors have increased significantly.

And if we were to check Thomas’ Instagram account, Thomas himself might be adding to said rumors. As pointed out by the Cowboys’ SB Nation site, Thomas just followed the Cowboys on Instagram.

Given that Thomas is an admitted Cowboys fan, this could be a whole lot of nothing. Then again, as a Cowboys fan, it’s interesting timing for him to follow the team right now.

In reality, it makes too much sense for the Seahawks and Cowboys to work out a trade here. Thomas was caught late last season telling head coach Jason Garrett that he wants to play for the Cowboys. Seattle and Dallas have had discussions about a potential trade in recent months.

It’s certainly something to keep an eye on as training camps get going around the NFL later this month. If Thomas does indeed holdout, more rumors will circulate about his future in the Pacific Northwest.
