Investigation closed, LeSean McCoy will not be charged in bar fight

Buffalo Bills fans can rest easily knowing that starting running back LeSean McCoy will not be charged for his involvement in an bar scrum with Philadelphia police officers this past February.

The Philadelphia DA announced that McCoy wouldn’t be charged back in April. The state’s Attorney General followed suit this week by closing the investigation without the star running back being charged (via NFL.com).

If you remember correctly, initial reports indicated that McCoy was facing legal hot water after he allegedly came to blows with off-duty police officers, who were reportedly intoxicated during the altercation. At that time, suggestions were that McCoy would be charged for some sort of wrongdoing.

Despite this latest development, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told NFL Media that the league is still investigating the matter, meaning that there’s a possibility McCoy could still face disciplinary action.
