Insane stat shows Russell Wilson in Hall of Fame company

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has enjoyed incredible success since making his NFL debut in 2012. Now, the former third-round pick can add another insane achievement to his legacy with a feat only one Hall of Fame quarterback has accomplished.

Wilson’s 240-yard, two-touchdown performance on Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings pushed him over the 3,000-yard mark this season. He now joins Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to hit 3,000-plus passing yards and 20-plus touchdowns in their first eight seasons.

It’s a stunning achievement for a player who didn’t receive much recognition entering the 2012 NFL Draft. Yet, Wilson’s talents jumped out the moment he stepped on an NFL field and his game-changing ability has made the Seahawks a perennial contender ever since.

While Wilson will likely finish second behind Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson for the NFL’s MVP award, he is quickly strengthening his resume to be honored one day in Canton, Ohio.

Playing at an elite level right now with one Super Bowl ring already on his finger, Wilson will look to carry the Seahawks into the postseason with his sights set on matching another of Manning’s marks.
