Southern Illinois transfer Marcus Domask committed to Illinois on Monday.

He averaged a career-high 16.7 points and 5.8 rebounds plus 3.8 assists per game last season and has more than 1,600 career points and 500 career rebounds.

A four-year contributor with 106 starts for the Salukis, Domask visited Champaign on Friday and revealed his suitors included Wisconsin, Xavier, Cincinnati and Notre Dame.

A career 35.9 percent 3-point shooter, Domask’s addition helps soften the blow of multiple transfer losses for Illinois. The Fighting Illini are also losing two starters and 2022 transfers in Terrence Shannon Jr. and Matthew Mayer, who’ve exhausted their eligibility.

Illinois expects transfer portal exits from point guard Jayden Epps, Brandon Lieb and RJ Melendez. Epps said on Sunday night he was committed to Georgetown. Epps verbally committed in high school to then-Providence coach Ed Cooley before flipping to Illinois.

South Dakota guard Keaton Kutcher completed a transfer to Illinois over the weekend.
