Atlanta Hawks reserve forward Chandler Parsons suffered serious injuries in a car accident last Wednesday.
Initial reports indicated that Parsons suffered a concussion and whiplash in the auto accident.
The veteran is now speaking out, indicating that the injuries he suffered could potentially be career-ending. That includes traumatic brain injury, disc herniation and a torn labrum.
The man involved in the accident with Mr. Parsons has since been charged with a DUI.
Given that Parsons has hired a lawyer, it’s logical to believe that a lawsuit could be in the cards.
Once seen as one of the rising young stars in the NBA, Parsons’ career has fallen on hard times recently due to a plethora of on-court injuries.
He’s currently playing under a four-year, $94.4 million deal the forward signed with the Memphis Grizzlies back in July of 2016.
Since acquired by Atlanta, Parsons is averaging less than three points in only five games this season.
