The Memphis Grizzlies are not budging in their attempt to get compensation for former NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.
Acquired from the Golden State Warriors during the summer, Iguodala has yet to play this season. The two sides agreed that he would not report at the start of the season en route to working on a trade.
Now, with the deadline just a few days away, Iguodala is reportedly threatening to sit out the remainder of the season if he’s not traded to a team of his liking.
It’s not yet known who is on that list. But common logic seems to suggest that it includes the Los Angeles Lakers.
Iguodala, 36, has fallen off the map offensively in recent seasons. He averaged just 5.7 points for the Warriors last season. However, the former All-Star remains one of the top wing defenders in the game.
It goes without saying that a multitude of contending teams are interested in his services.
