Tiger Woods was involved in rollover car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, on Friday afternoon, as revealed by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred in the days following Woods’ return to professional golf, as his team lost in the TGL Championship on Monday. No details about the cause of the crash or Woods’ condition have been released.

Woods, who was out of professional golf since late 2024, dealt with a ruptured Achilles tendon and underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery in October 2025. The 50-year-old golfer was also involved in a car crash in February 2021, which nearly required doctors to amputate his right leg. Despite all of these injuries, Woods has been pushing to compete in this year’s Masters.

Following the TGL Finals on Monday, Woods addressed the possibility of participating in the 2026 Masters at Augusta National.

“This body … it doesn’t recover like it did when it was 24, 25,” Woods said after the TGL Championship. “It doesn’t mean I’m not trying. I’ve had a couple bad injuries here over the past years that I’ve had to fight through and it’s taken some time. But I keep trying…I want to play [in the Masters]. I love the tournament. I’m going to be there either way with The Loop that’s going up there, as well as the Champions Dinner. … We’ll see how it goes. I’ll be practicing, playing at home this week and keep trying to make progress.”

Woods has been practicing and preparing his body for a potential return to the Masters this week. The crash occurred in the same town where Woods lives, just after 2:00 p.m. ET on Friday.

The county sheriff is scheduled to speak with local reporters at 5:00 p.m. ET to address the crash in Florida.
