The San Francisco Giants placed outfielder/designated hitter Joc Pederson on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to April 12, with inflammation in his right wrist.

The two-time All-Star has not played since Tuesday. He is batting .242 with two homers and nine RBIs through 10 games this season.

Pederson, who turns 31 next week, is a career .237 hitter with 173 home runs and 443 RBIs in 1,029 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers (2014-20), Chicago Cubs (2021), Atlanta Braves (2021) and Giants.

The Giants recalled infielder/outfielder Matt Beaty from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding transaction.

Beaty, 29, went 1-for-2 with one run and one strikeout in two games with San Francisco earlier this season.
