Mere weeks after signing a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants, veteran outfielder Cameron Maybin might soon find himself on the unemployment line once again.

The 31-year-old outfielder was arrested on Friday on DUI charges after being pulled over going 60 mph in a 40 zone.

“I can confirm that Mr. Maybin was arrested for driving under the influence on 3/1/19,” Scottsdale Police Department officer Kevin Watts told the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday.

Maybin was apparently going to visit his agent during the early morning hours on Friday. He failed multiple walking tests and was tested at a .142 percent blood alcohol level — about twice the legal limit in Arizona.

“We’re aware of the situation and are monitoring,” Giants senior vice president of communications Staci Slaughter said in a text.

Maybin’s minor league contract calls for $1.75 million if he makes the big league club out of the spring. He had gone hitless in his first 16 Spring Training at-bats before collecting two hits on Monday.
