Giants hire Jason Garrett as offensive coordinator

Scott Taetsch-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants hope Jason Garrett can spark an offensive revival and have hired him to become their next offensive coordinator, per Ed Werder of ESPN.

This move was anticipated throughout the league, and it gives the Giants a coach with a ton of experience who should be a big help to rookie head coach Joe Judge.

Garrett, of course, spent the better part of last decade as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. An offensive coach since his playing days, Garrett was Dallas’ offensive coordinator for four years and was heavily involved in the team’s offensive game plan throughout his tenure as the head coach.
