The roster manipulation employed by NFL teams is pretty comical at times, and a prime example is Geno Smith being cut by Seattle on Saturday. One day later, he told ESPN’s Josina Anderson that he is going to re-sign with Seattle.
This was a likely scenario, as Seattle was down to just starting quarterback Russell Wilson after Smith was let go on Saturday.
The former second-round pick out of West Virginia had a strong preseason for the Seahawks, completing 15-of-25 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in his final two games.
