Geno Smith on Jets Coaching Situation: A Change Could be Good

The New York Jets’ owner Woody Johnson has called together a football advisory council to consult with regarding potential changes that might be made when it comes to Rex Ryan.

Geno Smith, the Jets’ current starting quarterback, acknowledged that it would be tough to move on from Rex Ryan, but further indicated that “a change could be good” for the team.

Not only are Ryan’s days as the Jets coach limited, general manager John Idzik may find himself facing some changes.

Smith, who Ryan seems to still have some faith in, might be careful what he wishes for. A new coaching staff could come in and clean house, including the under-performing Smith himself.
