Detroit Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow (groin) did not participate in practice on Thursday and could miss the Lions’ season-opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The offensive line was supposed to be a position of strength for the Lions in 2022. However, Tommy Kraemer (back) also was a DNP again on Thursday and fellow guard Halapoulivaati Vaitai has already been placed on injured reserve with a back injury.

Ragnow injured his groin during Wednesday’s practice. Evan Brown took snaps at center Thursday and is in line to replace Ragnow, if he’s unable to go. Brown started 12 games at center in 2021 in place of Ragnow.

Backup Logan Stenberg is a candidate to replace Vaitai at right guard after playing left guard exclusively during the preseason.

Vaitai has to miss at least four games before he can return.
