Frank Gore’s son commits to Florida Atlantic

If we needed further evidence that Father Time has nothing on 15-year veteran NFL running back Frank Gore, we need not look further than this latest piece of information.

The Pro Bowler’s son, Frank Gore Jr., just committed to Florida Atlantic University as a member of the Class of 2020. This is not a drill. The younger Gore announced his intentions just recently.

Gore Jr. reportedly chose FAU over the likes of Southern Mississippi and Kentucky. We also has some pretty strong footage from his days at Killian High School in Miami. He’s considered a three-star recruit.

The younger Gore can only hope that he continues with his father’s ridiculous track record.

A third-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers back in 2005, Gore put up an NFL record 12 consecutive seasons with 1,200-plus total yards before tallying 846 yards at 5.0 yards per touch in Miami last season. He signed a one-year deal with Buffalo during the spring.

It would be a sight to behold if Gore Sr. continued his NFL career into the 2020 season. Both father and son would then be playing football at the highest of levels. That’s insane.
