When Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore joined the team in 2015, he did not exactly get what he signed up for.
This is particularly the case for Gore in 2017 who has played without quarterback Andrew Luck all season. Though, it does not look like Gore is completely ready to throw in the towel on Indy if Luck were to return.
Frank Gore says if Andrew Luck is healthy, returning to Indianapolis for a fourth season here and 14th overall is possible.

This is a big “if.” Nobody thought Luck would miss the entire 2017 season. But despite Luck’s absence, Gore has remained a true workhorse on the Colts’ offense. He has not missed a game since signing with the Colts three seasons ago.
Suiting up for an otherwise talent-stricken offense, Gore’s numbers are down in 2017. He is averaging just 57.4 rushing yards per game which is his lowest since his 2005 rookie season.
Currently, Gore and the Colts are trending towards a last-place finish in the AFC South with just three wins on the season.
As far Gore’s possible return to Indy, Luck’s overall health condition remains up in the air. Recent reports range from Luck possibly needing another surgery to the injury being all in the quarterback’s head.
Luck’s future with the Colts as well as Gore possibly playing for a 14th year will be storylines to monitor in the offseason.
