Four Cowboys’ stars to miss Christmas Day practice with injuries

The Dallas Cowboys are clinging to slim playoff hopes as they prepare for Week 17 and their chances look increasingly doubtful with four key starters set to miss Wednesday’s practice with injuries.

On offense, quarterback Dak Prescott (shoulder) and left tackle Tyron Smith (back) are sidelined. Meanwhile, on the other side, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (shoulder) and linebacker Sean Lee (pectoral) are unable to participate in the team’s Christmas Day practice.

After suffering a brutal loss in Week 16 and falling a game behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the standings, Dallas needs plenty to go its way on Sunday. The Cowboys must beat the Washington Redskins and they need the Eagles to lose to the New York Giants in Week 17.

Given all of the injuries Dallas is dealing with and that its playoff fate is out of its hands, head coach Jason Garrett can’t be feeling too great about his stay with the Cowboys lasting much longer.
