Future Hall of Fame linebacker Luke Kuechly surprised the masses earlier this month when he retired from the Carolina Panthers at the young age of 28.

The seven-time Pro Bowler stepped away from the game because he did not want to spend the rest of his life dealing with the pain that comes with playing in the NFL.

A product of Boston College, Kuechly is more than capable of being extremely successful in his post-playing career. That could reportedly include Kuechly turning to the coaching ranks or broadcast booth.

There’s very little doubt that Kuechly would be successful in either endeavor. Linebackers and other defenders would excel under him as a coach. Meanwhile, we’ve seen other elite players turn to successful careers in the broadcast booth.

Kuechly finished up his NFL career with seven Pro Bowl appearances in eight seasons. The linebacker completed his degree at Boston College back in 2015. He opted for BC over other prestigious academic universities such as Duke and Stanford.

It will be fun to see what Kuechly does now that he’s retired from playing.
