Former Eagles LB Ike Reese slams Philadelphia horse punchers

Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Ike Reese believes that most Philadelphia fans are great. But he shows absolutely no love for the fans that have punched horses during the playoffs.

Prior to the Eagles’ win over the Atlanta Falcons, a fan was arrested for punching a horse. One week later, an ugly incident broke out in the parking lot prior to the NFC Championship Game against the Minnesota Vikings. That, too, featured a horse getting punched.

Reese doesn’t want to see that happen again, and he’s cutting the two alleged horse punchers no slack.

“You get no pass for cruelty to animals,” Reese said to TMZ Sports. “Especially hitting a horse. It’s such a beautiful creature. No one gets a pass for that. Both of those guys ought to be prosecuted to the fullest.”

In a Super Bowl week that features Pornhub offering to lube poles in Philadelphia, this is our strangest storyline.

Not punching a horse should be second nature. In addition to getting arrested, you can also get badly hurt if the horse kicks. So, it’s odd that this is applicable to even one fan, let alone two.

No matter what happens on Sunday, let’s hope the horses remain unpunched.
