Fnatic, Weibo Gaming move on at Swiss Stage of Worlds

Fnatic posted a 2-1 win over Cloud9 and Weibo Gaming swept MAD Lions in Round 4 Low Matches on Thursday during Swiss Stage action at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship.

Cloud9 started off fast with a 40-minute win on blue before Fnatic rebounded in a big way. Fnatic seized a 28-minute win on blue and 32-minute win on red to end the match.

Weibo Gaming had a much easier time of it. They dismissed MAD Lions following 32- and 29-minute wins.

Competition resumes on Friday with a Round 4 Low Match between Dplus and GAM Esports as well as a Round 4 High Match pitting KT Rolster and LNG Esports.

After the Swiss Stage, the $2.225 million world championship advances to the knockout stage. All rounds are being contested in venues in South Korea. The knockout round concludes with the Nov. 19 grand final at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
