Florida State and Alabama are set to battle one another in what promises to be a clash of the titans between two top-five teams.
Alabama, who lost to Clemson in the National Title Game last season, enters the year as the consensus No. 1 team in the nation. Meanwhile, Florida State comes in at No. 3 overall. In reality, this could be one of the biggest early-season games in modern college football history.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise that there’s a lot of buzz surrounding it less than a week before the two powerhouses kick off.
In talking about his football program’s upcoming matchup, Florida State president John Thrasher has a pretty bold proclamation.
FSU Prez John Thrasher is ready: "I shouldn't talk too much trash, but I think we're gonna beat Alabama pretty bad next week. I really do."

“I shouldn’t talk too much trash, but I think we’re gonna beat Alabama pretty bad next week,” Thrasher said. “I really do.”
We’re pretty sure Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide will use this as bulletin board material leading up to the game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia.
Alabama is currently seven-point favorites, leading us to believe Las Vegas isn’t necessarily sold on Thrasher’s prediction.
