Florida QB Kyle Trask suffers apparent knee injury against Auburn

A season that already saw the Florida Gators lose starting quarterback Feleipe Franks could now be in serious jeopardy.

Fill-in quarterback Kyle Trask, who played well in Franks’ absence, left Saturday’s game against the Auburn Tigers after suffering an apparent knee injury following a big hit in the pocket.

Trask spent several moments down on the field in visible pain and distress. After being examined by Florida’s medical staff, he walked off the field and immediately went to the locker room with a trainer.

The junior had performed very well this season with five total touchdowns in two starts. The Gators may need to rely on third-string quarterback Emory Jones for the foreseeable future.
