The Indiana Fever on Tuesday waived guard Kysre Gondrezick, the No. 4 overall pick of the 2021 WNBA Draft.

Gondrezick averaged 1.9 points and 1.0 rebounds in 19 games as a rookie. She shot 28.3 percent from the field and played just 173 minutes.

Gondrezick finished her college career at West Virginia and averaged 19.5 points as a senior. She began her career at Michigan for one season before transferring to West Virginia.

She is the daughter of the late Grant Gondrezick, who played in 91 NBA games in the late 1980s with the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers.

The release of Gondrezick follows the June release of Lauren Cox, who the Fever selected third overall in the 2020 draft. Cox, a former college star at Baylor, played in just 25 games over one-plus seasons before her release.

Cox was picked up by the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Fever went 6-26 last season and are 40-116 over the past five campaigns.
